Mike Patton and The Avett Brothers Give AVTT/PTTN Collab Its Live Debut in New York City: Watch

Mike Patton and The Avett Brothers took the stage together to perform as the collaborative project AVTT/PTTN in front of a live audience for the first time, playing selections from their freshly released self-titled debut album.
The performance took place on Tuesday as part of the Grammy Museum’s “New York Evening” series at NYC’s Loreto Theater at the Sheen Center for Thought & Culture, with Patton and the Avetts running through four songs from the LP: “Dark Night of the Soul,” “Heaven’s Breath,” “Eternal Love,” and “Received.”

The mini-concert was followed by a conversation moderated by Eric André, and then Patton and the Avetts were whisked off to Rough Trade at Rockefeller Center for a signing. The NYC promo push culminates with a performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airing Wednesday night, November 26th.

Next spring, other stateside fans will be able to witness the collab performance in person when the AVTT/PTTN US tour launches in April. Dates are scattered throughout May and June, with a final show slated for June 20th in Waukegan, Illinois. Get tickets here.
