Anthony Davis is scheduled to practice on Wednesday with hopes of being cleared to return to the lineup Friday against the Los Angeles Lakers, according to NBA insider Marc Stein.
Davis has not played since Oct. 29, missing 14 games due to a calf injury.
“He’s working to get back,” Mavericks coach Jason Kidd said, per Stein.
Injuries have hampered Davis’ time with the Mavericks since being acquired from the Lakers for Luka Doncic last season. Davis has only appeared in 14 regular-season games for Dallas since last February.
The 32-year-old is averaging 20.8 points and 10.2 rebounds in his five games played this season.
The Mavericks sit 14th in the Western Conference at 5-14.
