Why are Cowboys wearing No. 94 helmet decals?

It’s been less than a month since the tragic suicide of Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland, and the team plans to honor him the rest of the season in a touching way. Dallas debuted No. 94 helmet decals against the Las Vegas Raiders last Monday, and they’ll keep wearing them — including on Thanksgiving Day against the Kansas City Chiefs — throughout the 2025 campaign.
The Cowboys have shown serious mental fortitude in wake of the Kneeland tragedy. Dallas has reeled off two straight wins — including a 21-point comeback over the reigning champion Philadelphia Eagles last week — to keep their playoff hopes afloat.
First-year coach Brian Schottenheimer and his players have navigated this painful situation about as well as possible, so credit to them.
