Zach’s First Alert Forecast: Colder days ahead

Temperatures keep getting lower to end the week. We’ll be near or slightly below freezing tonight as a northwest breeze pushes the wind chill into the 20s. Breeze gets stronger on Black Friday, and despite the sun, highs in the 40s will feel closer to 40s. The coldest air settles in Friday night as winds go calm. Temperatures will drop to the 20s almost area-wide. Even coastal areas are expected to drop below freezing. After another cold day, changes arrive for Sunday. Temperatures start rising before the sun comes up, and we’ll try to hit the 60s. Some of our southern counties and areas along the coast could get within sight of the 70s. It’s short-lived; a cold front brings light rain and colder air Sunday night. The rain ends for most before sunrise Monday, but temperatures stay in the 40s and 50s. A stronger storm system arrives Monday night into Tuesday bringing our best rain chance and possibly heavy rain for some. A few inches look possible by early Wednesday. A third storm system is possible next weekend.
