Is Zay Flowers Injured? A Look at the Ravens WR’s Status After Slow Start on Thanksgiving vs. Bengals

The Baltimore Ravens were expected to contend for the top of the AFC North with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2025. However, both teams had shaky starts, with star quarterbacks Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson suffering injuries.
The Ravens have steadily improved and found ways to win, pulling out victories in their last five games, and a big part of that has been thanks to wide receiver Zay Flowers. But Flowers’ numbers in the first half of this AFC North showdown have fans wondering if he is injured.

Is Ravens WR Zay Flowers Injured?
Flowers was selected 22nd overall by the Ravens in 2023 and has become one of Jackson’s most reliable weapons. Yet that is not on display during this Thanksgiving Day brawl.
At the end of 2024, Flowers made the Pro Bowl. Yet in the first two quarters of the Turkey Day game against the Bengals, the former Boston College standout has just one reception for one yard.
However, Flowers does not appear to be hurt. Instead, the blame seems to be all over the place. Some fans feel that Flowers is not a good fit for the Ravens offense, while others blame him for dancing around on the field instead of just picking up yards. Yet other fans just feel that Flowers is overrated.

Shortly after the two-minute warning before halftime, Flowers was flagged for offensive pass interference, which negated a much-needed touchdown.

As the Ravens head into the locker room at halftime, they trail the Bengals, 12-7. The Ravens’ offense has struggled without a consistent dose of a healthy Lamar Jackson. According to PFSN’s Offense Impact metric, they have a grade of C-, which ranks them 24th in the league.
Flowers closed out the first half with just three targets and still just the one single-yard reception. That’s an unexpected turn for Flowers, who has a grade of B according to PFSN’s Wide Receiver Impact metric. That ranks him seventh in the entire NFL. That’s just one spot behind his counterpart on the other side of the field, Ja’Marr Chase.
While Flowers is not the kind of player who routinely takes the top off, he has proven to be a consistent contributor, and the Ravens will be hoping to get him involved in the second half.
