British Airways has unveiled a series of new routes for 2026, expanding both its short-haul and long-haul network as demand for leisure and business travel continues to grow. The additions include new services to the Adriatic coast, the Channel Islands and a fresh gateway in the United States, offering UK travellers more choice than ever before.
New Routes for 2026
Tivat, Montenegro – Summer 2026
Launching on 14 May 2026, British Airways will begin operating flights from London Heathrow to Tivat, located on Montenegro’s beautiful Adriatic coastline.
The service will run three times a week during the summer season.
Tivat is known for its glittering marina, dramatic mountain scenery and easy access to historic Kotor. The new route provides UK holiday-makers with a convenient link to one of Europe’s rising coastal destinations.
Guernsey, Channel Islands – From April 2026
From 19 April 2026, British Airways will introduce a new year-round service between London Heathrow and Guernsey. This becomes the only direct route connecting the island with Heathrow, offering a welcome boost to business, leisure and short-break travel.
Travellers can look forward to Guernsey’s picturesque beaches, cliff-top walks and relaxed island lifestyle, all within easy reach from the UK’s busiest hub.
St. Louis, Missouri, USA – From April 2026
British Airways will launch a new transatlantic service from London Heathrow to St. Louis in April 2026. Operating four times a week, the route marks St. Louis as a brand-new destination for the airline.
The city, known as the “Gateway to the West”, is famous for its iconic Gateway Arch, vibrant music scene, historic neighbourhoods and access to sections of the legendary Route 66. The new link strengthens British Airways’ presence in the American Midwest and provides travellers with fresh options for business or leisure trips.
What This Means for Travellers
British Airways’ 2026 network expansion offers a wider range of options for passengers seeking both short and long breaks. The new services introduce:
- More choice of summer destinations, including Montenegro’s Adriatic coastline.
- Improved domestic and regional connectivity, especially with Guernsey now linked year-round to Heathrow.
- A new U.S. gateway, opening up the cultural attractions and road-trip potential of St. Louis and the surrounding region.
Whether you’re planning a long-haul adventure or a quick island escape, the airline’s 2026 additions provide fresh reasons to explore.
