Ireland’s beloved festive radio station Christmas FM will return tomorrow at midday.
This is the 18th year that Christmas FM has been on the airwaves. Since the station began broadcasting, it has raised over €4 million for a range of charities.
Christmas FM’s successful Magic of Christmas Appeal will continue to raise funds for three of Ireland’s leading children’s charities Barnardos, Barretstown, Make-A-Wish Ireland and a range of children’s charities across Ireland, making a difference in local communities through Community Foundation Ireland.
The station is brought to life each year by a dedicated team of volunteer presenters who give hundreds of hours of their time, supported by a core management team and based at The Clayton Hotel, Liffey Valley. This year, Coca-Cola, An Post, and Cadbury are the station’s premier FM sponsors.
First class in St. Peter’s National School in Dunboyne, Co. Meath, are helping to officially launch the radio station for 2025. The class won a competition run by Christmas FM to find a team of Santa’s little helpers to officially Switch Christmas On this year.
Garvan Rigby, co-founder of Christmas FM said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to share that Christmas FM is back to Switch Christmas On across Ireland for 2025, with the wonderful first class of St. Peter’s National School in Dunboyne, Co. Meath, offering a helping hand. We can’t wait to spread Christmas cheer and joy around the nation throughout the Christmas period.
“We’re delighted to once again have An Post, Cadbury, and Coca-Cola as our premier FM sponsors for 2025, and we’re also grateful to The Clayton Hotel, Liffey Valley for kindly donating our studio space again this year.
“We could not have reached 18 years on air without the continued support of Coimisiún na Meán, along with our amazing listeners and volunteers who have been with us every step of the way, supporting us and our charity partners. Once again, we are proud to be raising funds for the Magic of Christmas Appeal.”
