Small Business Saturday, Santa and holiday events in downtown Staunton

As you get ready to celebrate the holiday season, add these events to your calendar starting after Thanksgiving with Small Business Saturday in downtown Staunton.

The Staunton Downtown Development Association (SDDA) is launching its first “Downtown Holiday Window Walk,” with the storybook theme, “A Holly Jolly Holiday,” told through the windowscapes of eight storefronts along Beverley Street.

The SDDA will be giving out a holiday gift to the first 100 participants at the end of the window walk at Billy Opal, 119 E. Beverley St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 29.

Inspired by Macy’s annual NYC Holiday Windows, the SDDA said it hopes those who experience the story and windowscapes are inspired with a little holiday spirit and goodwill. Windows will be up through the first of the New Year.

As December approaches, the SDDA is planning Sip, Stroll & Shop happening 5-9 p.m. on Dec 5 with a free special commemorative mug while supplies last. Businesses will be offering complimentary refreshments to patrons while searching for the perfect gift. Find a full list of participating stores at Stauntondowntown.org/sss.
