Phoebe Litchfield goes to UP Warriorz for Rs. 1.20 crore in WPL Auction 2026

Australia batter Phoebe Litchfield was snapped up by UP Warriorz for Rs. 1.20 crore at the WPL 2026 Auction in New Delhi on Thursday after a brisk contest with Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
The bidding opened at Rs. 50 lakh with UP Warriorz making the first move before RCB stepped in at Rs. 55 lakh. Warriorz responded immediately, and with RCB keen to secure an opening partner for Smriti Mandhana despite the left-left combination, the price rose swiftly. RCB stretched the bid to Rs. 1.1 crore before Warriorz closed it out at Rs. 1.2 crore.
Litchfield was part of Australia’s squad that reached the semifinal of the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup. In the last-four clash against India, the left-hander struck the fastest century in a World Cup knockout, reaching the milestone in just 77 balls with 18 fours and a six.
