How soon you need to mail your Christmas packages and letters largely depends on where you’re sending it and which USPS service you choose.

Here are the USPS send-by dates for the contiguous U.S., if you want your package to arrive before Dec. 25:

The date already passed to send military-bound mail through the USPS Ground Advantage Service, on Nov. 4, but there’s still time for First-Class, Priority and Priority Express Services if you’re sending Christmas presents to a loved one in the military. FedEx holiday shipping deadlines 2025

If you choose to send your Christmas packages a little later in December, FedEx’s send-by dates fall later than USPS send-by dates, depending on where your package is going.
