In case you missed it, Americans have been urged to hand in their old Amazon devices by the end of the week to secure a hidden discount.
Amazon has a trade-in program, which enables customers to receive a voucher and 20 percent off new devices – but to make the most of the deal, they’ll need to send devices off by the end of this week to ensure it stacks on top of Black Friday discounts.
For instance, by adding trade-in to the current Black Friday deal, you could secure the brand new Fire TV Stick 4K Max for just $27.99 instead of $59.99.

At the time of writing, the Fire Stick has been slashed by 50 percent in Amazon’s Black Friday sale ($34.99), and the additional 20 percent off brings the price down to only $27.99.

There’s a range of Amazon devices eligible for the trade-in program. All you need to do is choose what to trade in, tell Amazon about the device, and send it off in the post.
If successful, you will receive its trade-in value via an Amazon voucher or instant payment.

At the time of writing, the new Fire TV Stick 4K Maz has been reduced from $59.99 to $34.99, as part of the Black Friday sale.
Amazon shoppers can bag an extra 20 per cent off the new Fire TV Stick 4K Max sale price if they trade in an eligible Amazon device. That brings the price down to just $27.99.
But you’ll need to be quick: the deal ends on Monday December 1, and with the trade-in process taking up to three days shoppers will need to send off their old devices by the end of this week if they want to cash in.
