Irish parents warned to stop using recalled Shein children’s item ‘immediately’

If you purchased one of these products, please stop use immediately, discard the product, and keep it out of the reach of children before applying for your refund

A plush toy sold on SHEIN has been recalled and customers who bought it have been told to stop using it immediately.
A safety issue has been identified with a puppy plush toy sold by a third-party seller (Jinhua Haibei Toys Co.Ltd) on the SHEIN marketplace. Small parts may become detached and lead to a choking risk.
The product, which was available on the SHEIN website to Irish customers, is being recalled by the company. The children’s toy should be kept out of reach of children, and disposed of as soon as possible, says the The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC)
The CCPC posted a notice to alert customers: “The risk reported to the CCPC is of choking. Small parts can detach from the toy and become accessible, which could pose a risk of choking by ingestion.
“The batch number is prx255. The product identifier is sl2409242297217890. There are approximately 4 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.”
If you purchased one of these products, please stop use immediately, discard the product, and keep it out of the reach of children.

SHEIN recently announced a recall of certain chargers sold by third-party sellers on the marketplace. The product presents a risk of electric shock, fire and injury.
The product has poor insulation, lack of thermal protection, faulty earthing, and missing or incorrect ratings. The affected product details can be found below:

Earlier this week, a children’s mermaid dress sold on the SHEIN marketplace was recalled in Ireland due to “burns risk. The product presents a burns risk. Children could wear the costume close to an ignition source, and the costume could catch fire, resulting in burns,” says the CCPC.
They add that the brand, type and model number of the dress is “unknown.” The batch numbers are 20250615, 20250529001, 2454164. The barcode is PB2506250174013. The SKU number is sk2404188591855511.
There are approximately 68 affected products in the Republic of Ireland. For anyone who may have purchased the dress, it is recommended that it is kept away from children and disposed of.
