Wisconsin Badgers vs. TCU Horned Frogs Game Thread: Need another good start

The Wisconsin Badgers are taking on the TCU Horned Frogs in the Rady Children’s Invitational Championship Game on Thursday, looking to win their fourth multi-team tournament in five years.
Wisconsin had a nice 104-83 win over the Providence Friars on Thursday, using a big run at the end of the first half to control the game. It felt like the latter had no chance at a comeback in the second half, as Wisconsin’s offense cruised at a higher tempo.
Transfer guard Nick Boyd led the way with a career-high 36 points to go with seven rebounds and seven assists. He led the up-tempo approach from Wisconsin and continued to shine in transition and at the rim in a monster game. That was crucial with John Blackwell having another off night.
But, he wasn’t the only one. Austin Rapp had his first 20-point game as a Badger, connecting on five threes, while Nolan Winter had a very efficient 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Wisconsin has another challenge on Friday, facing a TCU team that upset the No. 10 Florida Gators on Thursday, 84-80, despite an ugly three-point shooting day. TCU held the Gators in check from three, while forcing 19 turnovers in an impressive win.
The Badgers will need to find their rhythm early and take care of the basketball on Friday. If they do, they could find themselves holding some in-season hardware once again.
Wisconsin is a 6.5-point favorite heading into the game. Join us as our game thread is officially active!
