Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) doesn’t want for much in this life, but a ticket to see her all-time idol is the one thing that would make her dreams come true. Instead, it’ll risk her marriage in Emmerdale.
It was recently revealed that Lydia is a Jason Donovan super, mega fan and had been saving up her precious pennies to afford herself a ticket to finally see him.
Her plan was quickly snuffed out when a well-intentioned karaoke treat from the family blew the electrics at Wishing Well and saw Lydia reluctantly hand over her JD savings to Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) after it turned out the electrical problem was a big one.
Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor Draper) then went on the hunt for more tickets and managed to buy some, but that was before learning that Sam Dingle (James Hooton) and Lydia couldn’t afford them.

Lydia was unaware Belle had gone out of her way to do this kind act, and Sam was mortified at not being able to give his wife the one thing she’s ever asked for.
Aiming to keep it a surprise and keep the dream alive, Sam and Belle try to raise the cash for her, but it goes disastrously wrong.
More trouble comes about when Lydia accidentally learns of the tickets and thinks she’s now going to the concert.
Sam is wallowing in self-pity with Ryan Stocks (James Moore), who urges him to explain what happened and his good intentions to Lydia.

He returns home ready to talk, only to find Lydia trying on outfits befitting of a Jason Donovan superfan who’s heading to his gig. She reveals she knows about the tickets and Sam is left faced with a new, excruciating dilemma of how to crush her dreams all over again.
He bites the bullet and drops the clanger that there are no tickets.
Saddened and disappointed, Lydia heads upstairs alone with her dreams in tatters. Sam is left feeling despicable, her bubble is burst twice over the same thing.
For once in his life, can he fix it?
With Jason Donovan having revealed he has a cameo in the village, it looks like perhaps both of their luck is finally about to change…
