A look at Chargers’ potential starting offensive line post-bye week

The Chargers returned to the practice field after the bye as they prepare for the final six games of the regular season, and hopefully beyond that. In order to make it to the playoffs, there are things that the Bolts need to address, most notably the offensive line.
Head coach Jim Harbaugh addressed the health of the offensive line after the team’s bye week. This follows a period of significant injuries to the line, including season-ending injuries to Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt, which led to a subsequent player shuffle.
When asked if the team will make changes to the line, Harbaugh responded, “10 starters. We’ve got the guys. All 10 have started at some point for us this season.”
Harbaugh mentioned Jamaree Salyer, Trey Pipkins, and Bobby Hart will be “in the mix” at tackle.
Salyer started at left tackle in 2022 when Slater suffered a biceps injury, and he played well in the role. Pipkins has been the team’s primary starting right tackle. Hart started four games at right tackle, filling in for the injured Pipkins, before sustaining a groin and ankle injury.
Figuring out the starting tackles comes after the lackluster play from Austin Deculus and Trevor Penning, both acquired via trade.
Harbaugh said the interior offensive line starting group of Zion Johnson (left guard), Bradley Bozeman (center) and Mekhi Becton (right guard) will remain the same.
At practice on Tuesday, the starting offensive line was:
LT: Jamaree Salyer
LG: Zion Johnson
C: Bradley Bozeman
RG: Mekhi Becton
RT: Trey Pipkins
