Fortnite Zero Hour Chapter Finale: Start Time and How to Watch – Fortnite Guide

Fortnite is waving goodbye to Chapter 6 and its The Simpsons mini season on Saturday, November 29, 2025, with an in-game live event called Zero Hour. After the event, Chapter 7 will officially begin.

This page explains how to join and watch Zero Hour in Fortnite, including the exact start time so you’re not missing out on the action.

Fortnite Zero Hour Start Time

The Fortnite Zero Hour live event starts at 2 PM ET / 11 AM PT on November 29, 2025. The lobby opens 40 minutes early, at 1:20 PM ET / 10:20 AM PT, to allow players plenty of time to get loaded in before it kicks off.

To secure your spot and guarantee a smooth start, we strongly recommend loading into Fortnite as early as possible. High player volume is expected to stress the game’s servers, which may lead to login difficulties, like some players saw with The Simpsons “Welcome, Our Alien Overlord” event at the start of November.

We don’t know too much about what the live event will entail, other than characters from past and future Fortnite collaborations will come together to defeat an evil known as the Dark Presence. In the teaser trailer, we see characters such as Giant Homer, Godzilla, King Kong, and The Bride from Kill Bill.

How to Watch Fortnite Zero Hour Live Event

To watch the Fortnite Zero Hour live event, you’ll need to log into Fortnite at least 40 minutes before the live event starts, though we recommend doing so even earlier to be safe. Once you’re logged in, scroll down to the Discover section under the “PLAY” tab.

Here, you’ll find a banner for the Fortnite Zero Hour live event. You won’t be able to join a lobby until 1:20 PM ET / 10:20 AM PT, so don’t worry if you can’t access it before then. Click on the banner to view the event page; you can join Zero Hour from here once doors open 40 minutes before.

When Does Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 Start?

Following the Fortnite Zero Hour live event on November 29, 2025, the game is expected to go down for maintenance to deploy Chapter 7, Season 1. We don’t know how long it will be down for exactly, though according to a post on Fortnite’s official X account, CH7S1 will go live sometime in “evening EST.”

Based on previous maintenance schedules, we expect the Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 1 downtime to last around 5-8 hours, though this is purely a prediction; it could be earlier, it could be later.
