Newcastle United perspective on Saturday’s other Premier League fixtures

Looking at these Premier League fixtures on Saturday in this round of matches.

Seeing the other games from a Newcastle United perspective.

Eddie Howe and his players kicking off at 5.30pm in their Saturday match away at Everton.

This weekend there are five Premier League fixtures today (Saturday 29 November), then five on Sunday.

As a Newcastle United fan, have a look at today’s (Saturday’s) other Premier League fixtures and have a think about what you’d like to happen and what is likely in terms of results.

Brentford v Burnley (3pm)

Sunderland v Bournemouth (3pm)

Everton v Newcastle (5.30pm)

Forest v Brighton (2.05pm)

West Ham v Liverpool (2.05pm)

Chelsea v Arsenal (4.30pm)

This is how the table looks on Saturday morning (29 November 2025) before any of the ten Premier League fixtures this weekend are played:

My conclusions and predictions on Saturday’s matches

Brentford v Burnley (3pm)

Brentford have picked up 13 of their 16 points so far, at the GTech Community Stadium. Winning against Villa, Man U, Liverpool and Newcastle, drawing against Chelsea and losing only to Man City.

Burnley have proved more competitive than most believed they would be, however, seven of their ten points have been picked up at home. The exception was due to a 95th minute winner at rock bottom Wolves.

Difficult to see anything other than a Brentford home win.

Man City had win 11 and lost only one of their last 14 games in all competitions, until outperformed and defeated by Newcastle United. Pep Guardiola reacting to that rare loss by making ten changes and losing once again to Bayer Leverkusen, though worth pointing out that the German side scored two goals with their only two shots on target.

Leeds showed a competitive edge when picking up eight points from their opening six Premier League matches but then have lost five of their last six.

You have to think the only outcome here is Manchester City getting back on track and things could get messy for Leeds if Haaland and friends score a couple early on.

Sunderland v Bournemouth (3pm)

The Mackems have carried a lot of early season luck and to an extent that continued last weekend. Fulham were by far the better team but only managed to beat them 1-0. Only two points from a possible nine for Sunderland so far in November and hopefully Bournemouth will make that two points from twelve.

The Cherries had been on a run of five wins and three draws in an unbeaten Premier League run of eight games, then injuries took their toll. Heavy defeats at Man City and Villa, then West Ham took a 2-0 lead last weekend only for Bournemouth to come back to 2-2 and they really should have won in the end.

The injury situation could be improving and certainly if their talisman Semenyo is back, I can see Bournemouth winning this one.

Everton v Newcastle (5.30pm)

The only one that really matters of course.

If Newcastle United play anything close to how they performed in their most recent match, against Manchester City, then I’m very confident Eddie Howe’s side can win this.

If United play anything like they did in the last two Premier League away games against Brentford and West Ham, then…

The last six Spurs matches in all competitions have seen them win only one, at home to Copenhagen in the Champions League. The other five they have conceded 14 goals in defeats to Newcastle, PSG, Arsenal and Chelsea, with a 2-2 draw in a very poor quality match against Man U.

Fulham are a far better team than they had shown with four straight Premier League defeats.

They have bounced back to an extent with Premier League home wins over Wolves and Sunderland, either side of losing at Everton.
