Bundesliga weekend predictions, odds & best tips: Leverkusen can disappoint Dortmund in crunch clash

Bayern Munich will be desperate to respond to Wednesday’s defeat to Arsenal in the Champions League and they will be expected to at least maintain their six-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga when they welcome St Pauli to the Allianz Arena on Saturday.
However, all eyes will undoubtedly be on the heavyweight showdown between Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund from the BayArena later that afternoon.
Bundesliga predictions & tips for this weekend’s matches
Borussia Monchengladbach vs RB Leipzig
Kick-off: 7.30pm Friday
Leipzig are in good form and look the likely winners. The Red Bulls have had seven victories in their last nine games in the Bundesliga, while Monchengladbach have failed to score in five of their last seven matches on home turf.
Prediction: RB Leipzig
Bayern Munich vs St Pauli
Kick-off: 2.30pm Saturday
No team has more goals in the Bundesliga this season than Bayern Munich’s tally of 35 in ten games, and six of their matches have gone over 3.5 goals. Back over 3.5 goals when they host St Pauli at the Allianz Arena.
Prediction: Over 3.5 goals
Werder Bremen vs Cologne
Kick-off: 2.30pm Saturday
Take Werder Bremen to continue their winning streak at home to Cologne. The hosts have won their last three games at Weserstadion and Cologne have lost three of their last four on the road in the league.
Prediction: Werder Bremen
Hoffenheim vs Augsburg
Kick-off: 2.30pm Saturday
Hoffenheim’s potent attack is up against an Augsburg defence that has shipped 24 goals in ten games this season. Back Christian Ilzer’s side to get the victory. They have scored 22 goals in 11 games, while Augsburg have yet to keep a clean sheet on their travels.
Prediction: Hoffenheim
Union Berlin vs Heidenheim
Kick-off: 2.30pm Saturday
Union Berlin look the best bet when they host Heidenheim at Stadion An der Alten Forsterei. Union Berlin have lost just one of their last six home games in the Bundesliga, while Heidenheim have not won in five games.
Prediction: Union Berlin
Bayer Leverkusen vs Borussia Dortmund
Kick-off: 5.30pm Saturday
Bayer Leverkusen should be backed to get a home win over Borussia Dortmund at the BayArena. The hosts are third in the league and have been winners in four of their last five home games, while Dortmund are third but have only won two of their last six league fixtures.
Prediction: Bayer Leverkusen
Hamburg vs Stuttgart
Kick-off: 2.30pm Sunday
The best bet is Stuttgart to get the away win. Hamburg have won only one of their last seven Bundesliga matches and the hosts could get overwhelmed by their illustrious visitors.
Prediction: Stuttgart
Eintracht Frankfurt vs Wolfsburg
Kick-off: 4.30pm Sunday
Back Eintracht Frankfurt to defeat an out-of-form Wolfsburg. Wolfsburg have won only one of their last ten Bundesliga matches and confidence has drained from Die Wolfe.
Prediction: Eintracht Frankfurt
Freiburg vs Mainz
Kick-off: 6.30pm Sunday
Freiburg suffered a 6-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in their last Bundesliga outing, but they have lost only one of their last six home games against Mainz. They should be able to beat the strugglers, who have been defeated in their last three league away matches.
Prediction: Freiburg
