Strictly Come Dancing star Karen Hauer broke down in tears as she paid tribute to Dave Myers in an emotional clip.
The longest-serving professional on the show, Karen recalled some of her most memorable moments from Strictly over the years, including dancing with Jamie Laing and Charles Venn.
She then recalled her partnership with Dave, and broke down in tears as she paid tribute.
The Hairy Bikers star died in February 2024 at the age of 66 after revealing his cancer diagnosis two years earlier.
Appearing in a pre-recorded clip on Strictly’s It Takes Two tonight, Karen shared her memories of the beloved TV chef.

She began: “Dave Myers was the first celebrity that I danced with that showed me how to have fun.”
Fighting back tears, she went on to recall one of her favourite moments where they danced a Salsa together and she pushed him in a trolley while wearing a vibrant headpiece.
“I had a head full of fruit, and he had maracas and ruffles,” she said.

“We were laughing with each other, and we wanted everyone to join us in that.”
She went on: “It was my second year on the show and I was still quite lost on who I wanted to be on the show and how to present myself.
“He unlocked that key for me, and went, ‘This is how you have fun, Karen.'”

She added: “He showed me how to make fun of myself, and since then, I’ve definitely taken that on board.
“He took care of me, and I just miss him.”
Following the news of Dave’s death last year, Karen lead tributes, sharing in a post on Instagram: “Dave, You taught me how to have fun and to take on the day with a big smile.
“Rest well my dear friend. I’m going to miss you so much.”
