Roughly four or five years ago, they met after starting together at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. At that point, they were probably still just* former college and pro basketball player Anriel Howard and former college and pro football player Matrick Belton.
They learned to be pro wrestlers, and we now know them as Lash Legend and Trick Williams. Parallel to that, their relationship developed as well. They’ve been a public couple for at least the past two years, and in 2024 WWE even briefly brought their romance to NXT. In storyline, they decided to focus on their careers — a decision that’s worked out as Williams has remained a part of the NXT and TNA main event scenes, while Legend was recently promoted to SmackDown and will take part in tonight’s Women’s WarGames at Survivor Series.
And on Thanksgiving (aka Thurs., Nov. 27 for non-Americans and Americans who choose not to partake in the November feast of gratitude), Trick got down on one knee in front of the couple’s loved ones and asked Lash to spend the rest of her life with him.
* And of course there’s nothing “just” about it, their pre-WWE resumes are damn impressive.
