Gameday Availability Report for Alabama and Auburn

The Alabama Crimson Tide will need to defeat the Auburn Tigers to clinch a spot in next Saturday’s SEC Championship game, and the Tigers need to beat the Crimson Tide to secure bowl eligibility under interim head coach Dj Durkin.
Alabama will be a bit shorthanded in the matchup with Auburn, as starting tight end Josh Cuevas was ruled out for the Iron Bowl on Wednesday. Cuevas, a redshirt senior from Los Angeles, California, suffered an injury during practice last week, leading up to Alabama’s 56-0 victory over Eastern Illinois.
In addition to Cuevas, Alabama running back Kevin Riley will miss Saturday night’s game, per the SEC availability report. On Friday, Alabama had listed starting wide receiver Germie Bernard, starting center Parker Brailsford, and reserve linebacker QB Reese as ‘probable’ for the Iron Bowl. On Saturday’s gameday availability report, the Crimson Tide removed Germie Bernard and Parker Brailsford, meaning that both the second-year Washington transfers will be available for Alabama against Auburn.

The Tigers will be without key contributors on both sides of the ball, with linebacker Demarcus Riddick and cornerback Champ Anthony out, and starting center Connor Lew missing the Iron Bowl. All three were ruled out on Wednesday’s availability report.
Star defensive back Sylvester Smith will miss the first half due to a targeting call during the second half of Auburn’s 62-17 victory over Mercer last week.
