Is CM Punk worried about betrayal heading into the star-studded Men’s WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series?
The Men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series is one of the biggest lineup clashes WWE has ever put together. CM Punk will team with Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso to take on the powerhouse group of Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
Tension has been building on WWE RAW between Punk, Rhodes, and Reigns, especially after their intense face-offs, where Reigns teased mind games with both men. With emotions running high, many have wondered whether those tensions could lead to someone turning on Punk’s team during WarGames.
Does CM Punk trust his WarGames teammates?
In an interview on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams, Punk was asked directly if he feared anyone on his team might switch sides. He said, “No, not really. I mean, for Roman and the Usos, I think it’s a family thing; I don’t think they’re going to be switching sides. I think it’s that team of beefy bad guys that’s really got to worry about double-crossing and stabbing each other in the back, because they all, I mean, they all have more to gain from it.”
When asked who he dislikes most from the opposing team, Punk didn’t hesitate, “It’s Drew McIntyre. He’s a prick.” He added, “I mean, it’s uber personal with me and him. You know, like, I don’t think most of humanity likes Logan Paul, and it’s because he’s a douche. And you can just watch him and be like, yeah, okay, I don’t like that guy, I don’t like his face.
“I don’t like his attitude. I don’t like his broccoli haircut. Drew McIntyre is just kind of a next-level personal thing. You know, he said some things about my wife and my dog. And, you know, I’m not really big into forgiving or forgetting. So, he knows what I can do to him inside of a cage match, and I’m just excited that I get to do it again on Saturday.”
