3 mistakes WWE should avoid in Men’s WarGames Match

WWE is just five days away from hosting its next major premium live event, Survivor Series: WarGames. The Men’s WarGames Match will see Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, and Brock Lesnar go up against the team of CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and Roman Reigns.

Thanks for the submission!

While fans eagerly anticipate what the Triple H-led creative team has in store for them in San Diego, let’s look at three mistakes the Stamford-based promotion should avoid in the Men’s WarGames Match.

#3. Having Logan Paul and CM Punk kick off WarGames

Logan Paul entered into an intense rivalry with CM Punk after attacking the latter with his brass knuckles, and then sacrificing his soul to Paul Heyman and The Vision in the main event of RAW after Saturday Night’s Main Event XLI.

Considering that the company has heavily promoted the Men’s WarGames Match and many believe Logan Paul is the least formidable member of the heel team, starting the bout with The Maverick, running it with Punk, could tune down the excitement level and anticipation the audience has for the showdown.

The match should ideally begin with the top competitors from each team to keep fans engaged from start to finish. Even if the World Heavyweight Champion is scheduled to go first, it probably shouldn’t be against Paul.

#2. Booking The Vision’s team to lose

Although it may seem unusual, the creative team should avoid booking The Vision to lose in the Men’s WarGames Match. Considering the momentum the heels have built in recent times, and Brock Lesnar’s return last week on RAW, a loss in San Diego might be a major spoiler.

Many fans expect The Vision to stand tall, especially now that The Beast Incarnate has reunited with Paul Heyman. Hence, the company should book them for the victory at the upcoming premium live event to establish the storyline.

Moreover, the babyfaces are obviously at odds and lack cohesion. This has led many to suggest that the company should seize this opportunity to fuel the existing bad blood among them, especially between Roman Reigns and CM Punk, possibly setting the stage for a World Heavyweight Championship match.

#1. Having Jimmy Uso sustain the pinfall for this team

Given the above angle, the creative team should avoid booking Jimmy Uso to take the pinfall in the Men’s War Games Match. Since Big Jim appears to be the most overlooked among the babyfaces, booking him to sustain the loss for his team could further diminish his momentum and perception as a formidable competitor.
