WWE Survivor Series War Games results, live coverage

Cody Rhodes talks about Dusty Rhodes legacy, influence on his WWE career on ‘Stephanie’s Places’

WWE star Cody Rhodes is featured on ESPN’s “Stephanie’s Places”.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

That’s right, it’s time for, as William Regal says best “WAR GAMES!” Tonight’s war games have two huge rosters, setting up which could be the biggest night of Survivor Series ever.

It’s time to start talking about War Games! We’ll take you from the opening bell to the final pinfall tonight. Stay with us for live updates!

Who was that masked man? This match comes down to who was the mystery man who hit the stomp. Was it Seth Rollins? Why would he help those guys? The good guys are down, beaten and the bad guys are on the ramp celebrating. It was a great match, but you leave with more questions than answers. Great match, rating: 91 out of 100. After the match, Roman helps up CM Punk and they fist bump. Cody is yelling at Reigns for some reason. Punk asked Cody about the elbow. Reigns and Cody didn’t acknowledge each other too much. They just kept eyeballing each other. Reigns said it’s the last time they’ll ever team. Rhodes said I got you. That was the end.

Who will be the iron men for the boys, it’s time for War Games. 46,016 people are at the show. That’s a lot of people. Stadium shows are fun, it’s gotta be a thrill for all these guys and girls to wrestle in front of a huge crowd. We’re getting a video package of how this all started. Who should start the match? I’m going to guess Drew vs. Cody.

Well, I was wrong, it’s Charles Montgomery Punk starting things for the non-Heyman guys. He’s wearing a Larry’s Dad jacket. Larry’s Mom won tonight. Will dad do the same? It’s clobbering time, my friends. Punk will be out there for a while by himself. The Heyman men have the advantage. Who will Punk’s first foe be? Punk climbs the cage, walks the ropes, he’s ready! Punk is one of two men in this match to fight in a UFC cage. I have to imagine that helps in a bout like this. Just the nerves of being locked in a cage with men who want to kill you.

Punk will battle with Bron Breakker. This will be interesting! Breakker is on his way to the ring and I think I’d rather fight Brock Lesnar than Bron Breakker. Breakker is a monster. Punk is eyeballing him as he walks to the cage. War Games is about to begin.

The two meet in the middle, talk a little trash, and Punk joins the Bloodline? He put his one up. They tie up and not shocking, Breakker has the power edge. Breakker is toying with Punk, throwing him around and hitting shoulder blocks. But Punk hits a dropkick and then starts to pound away. But Breakker hits a press slam, but before he can drop him, Punk kicks off and hits a few boots to Breakker.

Breakker throws Punk with an overhead slam, then lands three huge punches. Breakker is throwing Punk all over the ring. Punk hits a clothesline off the middle rope and Breakker looks stunned. Fans behind Punk, but in 15 seconds, Breakker will see a teammate join the match. That teammate is Drew McIntyre. That’s not the best news for CM Punk. McIntyre is walking to the ring with a purpose. Punk is eyeing McIntyre up, he better worry about Breakker too. Punk heads over to cut off McIntyre and they start fighting. McIntyre cornered Punk, who fights out, but now Breakker is joining them. Punk is just trying to stay alive, but he eats a Claymore kick. Then McIntyre rakes Punk’s eyes. The two are just beating Punk to death. Double press slam into the cage.

Punk is down and both Breakker and McIntyre are taking turns whooping his butt. Punk might be out. They are now ripping his face against the cage. Thankfully for Punk, he’s getting help. That help is Cody Rhodes. So both champions are in the match. McIntyre must have liked what he saw from Becky Lynch because he did the same thing she did earlier. And Rhodes starts with a body block from the top of the cage. He hits a Cody Cutter on Breakker. Rhodes elbowed Punk by mistake. Honest mistake? Punk and Cody hit the Hart Attack clothesline on McIntyre. Then they hit the Doomsday Device on Breakker. Punk and Cody PWI Tag Team of the Year? Maybe not, but they are working well together as the good guys clearly have the edge. Breakker did seem to land on his head, I hope he’s OK. Rhodes and Punk are punching McIntyre. Here comes Logan Paul. Breakker appears to be OK, according to Michael Cole. He was checked by a doctor. Good job by WWE doing that.

Paul is coming in with a chair. He slides two in and he uses on on Cody. Breakker is up and Paul hits a cross body block on Punk. Then he goes to work on Cody. Paul climbs the cage and Cody meets him up there. Both guys are fighting atop the cage. That’s high up. Breakker hit Cody’s ankle with a chair and Cody is hurt. Breakker then hits Punk with a chair. Why does Breakker need a chair? He’s scary without one. McIntyre hits Punk with a chair and Cody gets his face grinded on the cage. Punk suplexed by Drew and Paul. The bad guys are working well together. Jimmy Uso is out next. He seems in no rush, I don’t blame him.

Jimmy slams the cage door on Breakker and then grabs a table. He brings it to the ring. And he hits a superkick on Drew. Then one on Paul, followed by a moonsault on Breakker and Paul. Then Jimmy eats a Claymore. Breakker destroys Jimmy with a clothesline. Punk and Paul throw punches. Breakker hits a Frankensteiner on Rhodes. Breakker is going to be a top five all time wrestler. He’s good, she’s smart, he’s already a good interview. He’s going to be so good. He already is so good. Paul too. Rhodes is busted open as we see Bronson Reed come to the cage. That leaves Yeet, Brock and Roman still to come. We’ll guess that’s the order.

Reed is in the cage and he immediately hits a Tsunami on Punk. Then he hits Uso with one. Rhodes is the next victim. He’s been in the ring for two minutes and he’s killed three men. Not a bad night at the office. Paul Heymen’s men are winning every battle. Reed is splashing everyone into the cage as the four men stand over their victims, celebrating. McIntyre is pounding away on Punk, Paul is getting in some good offense, Reed is destroying Jimmy, until Uso hits a superkick. One on McIntyre and Breakker, but Reed cuts him off with a clothesline. In 20 seconds, a non-Heyman guy will come out. It’s Jey! He’s at least jogging to the ring. Uso, who people question, is the first guy who hustled to the ring to help his guys.

Main Event Jey is taking Breakker out. Now he’s doing it to Reed. Jey is on fire. He hits a splash in the corner on each of the Vision. Usos hit double superkicks on Bron, Bronsoon and McIntyre. Then double kick on Logan Paul before hitting a 1D. Now he’s dancing to his entrance song again. Both Usos are. Shockingly Punk and Rhodes don’t seem to mind. I’d be furious if I were them. You’re in the main event of a major PLE. Dance after that. Jey is dancing atop the cage, and now Brock Lesnar is coming out. If they lose, they deserve it.

Lesnar comes out with Heyman. Brock is all business, and he heads into War Games. Only man left is our tribal chief. Lesnar hits some German Suplexs on everyone. Cody, both Usos, and CM Punk. He throws Punk into the cage, then Cody suffers the same fate. Then he drops Jey Uso on his head. F5 on Jimmy. F5 on Punk. They’re all dead. F5 on Cody. Brock Lesnar is destroying everyone. He’s laughing. He’s now stalking Jey Uso. And he gets F5’ed. Punk tries to fight back and he’s stonewalled, as is Cody Rhodes. Rhodes gets suplexed across the ring. Lesnar now has a chair. And he’s using it. But the original tribal chief is on his way.

Brock Lesnar is leaving the cage, looking to meet Reigns. And here comes Roman. He has his one up. The Tribal Chief is here to save us! Lesnar is walking out to meet him. Lesnar is standing right in the aisle. And Reigns greets him with a Super Man Punch. And another. And a third. He went for a fourth but he got F5’ed through the table. Reigns is down. Lesnar is picking him up and throws him into the cage. And again. Then into the steps. Heyman directing traffic as Lesnar brings Reigns into the cage. It’s time for the Match Beyond!

War Games is starting with Lesnar F5ing Reigns, but Cody breaks up the pin. Punk hits a G2S on Lesnar. Cody hits a crossrhodes, but Paul breaks up the pin. Heyman than gives Logan Paul brass knuckles. He puts em on. He hits Cody. He hits Jimmy. He is calling for Roman to get up. But Roman spears him. Then he takes the knuckles. Roman puts them on. Superman Punch with knuckles. One on McIntyre too. Now it’s Breakker vs. Reigns. Reigns hits a spear. Lesnar picks Jey up for an F5 but Reigns spears him through a table. All three are down. Breakker spears Jimmy. This is crazy. Breakker spears Jey. Breakker spears Cody after McIntyre hit him low.

Punk goes for a G2S on Breakker. Paul breaks it up, but he suffers the same fate. A hooded man has entered the cage. He hits a super kick on CM Punk. And a stomp. And then he leaves the cage. Was it Seth Rollins? Breakker hits a spear on Punk, and we get a three count.

Drew McIntyre, Brock Lesnar, Logan Paul, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker defeated CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns and the Usos after Breakker pinned Punk after a masked man attacked Punk and hit a stomp.

This was a terrible match, it was too long, Bella shouldn’t be on PLEs going for the title and it made Vaquer look not as good as she is. The match didn’t help Vaquer at all, and that’s what this match should have done. Not their fault. Bad spot. Grade: 73 out of 100.

There are 20 people I’d love to see Vaquer wrestle. Bella isn’t one of them. Vaquer gets nothing out of this feud. Bella has value, but wrestling a champion right now isn’t where that value lies. The only acceptable outcome to this match is Vaquer just smashing Bella in five minutes. And I’ll tell you this, ESPN Unlimited is a lot of commercials for $30 a month. A lot of commercials. But I did enjoy seeing the LJN wrestling figures. I think the Hulk Hogan one is the exact same one I had. I had all those guys. I stopped getting them when they started doing tag teams, I know I didn’t get the British Bulldogs. The one I always wanted was Kamala. He was always my favorite wrestler. Another commercial I can’t endorse is Mad Dog. Don’t drink it. I would drink that and wake up the next day just as drunk as I was when I went to bed. Don’t do it.

Nikki Bella is first one out. And her comes Stephanie Vaquer. I just saw her interview with Chris Van Vliet, I believe it was, she didn’t speak English until this year. She speaks it very well now. That’s pretty incredible. Imagine learning a language and doing interviews on TV within a year. I couldn’t. She deserves a lot of credit for that.

The match is on and Vaquer is doing her thing, taking Bella to town. Vaquer went for a boot to the face, but Bella ran away. Vaquer gave chase and throws Bella into the table.

They’re back in the ring and Bella is taking over. Bella has Vaquer down and is throwing punches. Bella hits a face buster and a modified bulldog DDT. Bella gets a two count. It’s time to wrap it up. Bella is choking Vaquer. She goes for a Rack Attack, but Vaquer locks in an armbar over the top rope. Bella recovers with a spinebuster. Nikki gets rolled up and Vaquer goes for the devil’s kiss, but Bella rolls out. Bella clotheslines Vaquer on the top rope, but Bella eats a boot. Both are down. Vaquer hits a headbutt, Bella punches back. Bella hits some punches and kicks, and a pair of clotheslines. Vaquer hits a suplex, then rolls up Bella but only gets a two count. Bella goes for a boot, but Vaquer hits a dragonscrew. She hits a backbreaker, but only gets a two count. This is hard to watch. Bella hits a punch, goes for a rack attack, but Vaquer gets away. She hits a clothesline. Vaquer hits a double knee in the corner. Bella pulls vaquer off the top turnbuckle, hits a rack attack, but Vaquer gets her foot on the rope. Bella is fighting with the ref. Now they’re fighting on the apron. Bella goes for a powerbomb off the apron, but Vaquer hits a knee drop on her throat on the apron. Now she does the devil’s kiss on the announce table. Bella is out. Vaquer rolls her in, but Bella fights out. They slap each other. Vaquer hits a suplex, then more devil’s kisses, this time in the ring. Vaquer hit flip from the top rope and wins.

Stephanie Vaquer defeats Nikka Bella with a top rope flip splash

It’s good to be the chap. Dominik gets his girl back, gets his belt back and Cena goes out on his back at his final PLE. Well done Cena, well done Dom. Grade: 96 out of 100. After the winners celebrate, Cena gets the cheers he deserves. This we a perfect match for them. I’ll miss Cena. And I know he said it’s it and I have no reason to not believe him, but if it’s not, I’d be happy. The more we see stars, the better. I was happy Michael Jordan came back, I was happy Tom Brady came back. They are the GOATs. Why can’t John?

Tonight, we have a historical match featuring the greatest wrestler of our time. And he’ll be wrestling John Cena for the Intercontinental championship. OK, Cena might be the all-time great in this matchup, but how much fun is Dominik Mysterio? No matter what he does, he’s the guy my friends and I are talking about. But tonight is Cena’s final premium live event, so let’s enjoy it.

Dirty Dom is out first and he’s wearing a nice mask. Fans are behind him. It’s his hometown. Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez are out with him. Dom said this match is all about him. What do they want him to think? He’s a competitor. He’s not here to make suer Cena has a going away party. He’s there to win gold. Right Eric and Beverly?

Cena is out next. He’s as popular as Rob Van Dam at the ECW Arena. That’s popular! Cena has his newest rally towel. Last time is now. He runs to the ring and the fans go insane. Cena is in the ring, the time is now.

I get it, it’s his last match on PLE but San Diego is being a little disrespectful. Nah, nah, nah, you insulting Dom a little bit. They got a little out of line themselves. Dom is the hometown hero. Treat him as such. Why is he the last real champion still? This is the 177th PLE match for Cena. He has 100 PLE wins. I like the Michael Cole stats. But we’re off.

The fans are cheering Dirty Dom, nice to see. But Cena starts with a headlock takeover. Dom recovers and throws some big punches on Cena. Cena is down.

Cena tried to fight back, but Dom gets the best of him and Rodriguez hits a huge punch, flooring Cena. Dom hits the three amigos but only gets a two count. A let’s go Cena, Cena sucks chant breaks out, the let’s go was way louder.

Dom takes a powder as the ladies distract Cena. And Dom takes advantage.

Dom played possum while the women beat up Cena. Dom comes in, hits a 619 and a frog splash but only gets a two count. And the ref throws out Perez and Rodriguez. That’s unfair! I think that was a three count, but the match goes on. And now Cena hits his tackles and a suplex. Now a five knuckle shuffle. He goes for an AA but Dom rolls him up. Now Cena slaps on the STF. But Dom gets to the rope. Dom unzipped his boot, Cena takes it off, Dom hits a 619 and another frog splash, but only gets a two. Dom puts his boot back on, but gets hit with an AA. But Cena only gets a two count.

Cena and Dom are punching away. Fans behind Cena. Sellouts. Cena hits a shoulder block, went for a second but hit the ref instead. Cena goes back to the STF. Her comes JD McDonagh and Finn Balor. Cena fights them off. He picks them both up and hits a double AA. Cena is spent. Dom is grabbing the IC Title. Ref still down. Dom is in the ring. Cena needs a haircut. Dom goes for a KO with the belt, but gets hit with an AA. Cena calls for a ref, but instead we get Liv Morgan.

Morgan comes to the ring, smiles at Dom and then hits him with a massive slap. She then turns to Cena and jumps in his arms. Then she kicks him in the nuts. Cena gets 619ed, frog splash. Liv wakes up the ref, Dom wins the title back.

Dominick Mysterio defeats John Cena after Liv Morgan returns and turned on Cena

Exactly what you’d want. Fun matchups, huge moves, great action from start to finish. Everyone came out looking better. I don’t think there were any injuries. Exactly what War Games should be. Grade: 93 out of 100.

Charlotte Flair is out first. The stadium makes the show have a big time feel. Putting her with Alexa Bliss was genius because Charlotte Flair should be loved, not hated. She’s a great “bad” girl, but she was treated unfairly by fans. Looks like they’re having the people come out of the dressing room, not cages. Asuka is out for the other side first. Flair’s team won the coin flip match, so they’ll get their second person out first. I like the new rule with the people coming from the locker room. Asuka is going to work on Flair. These two had a great match at WrestleMania a few years ago, and they’re clearly two of the best going. Mostly feeling each other out to start War Games.

Flair gets the advantage and goes for a big boot on Asuka, but she gets caught between the two rings. Asuka hits some big boots to Flair’s head and then goes for a German suplex between the rings, but Flair fights it off. Asuka continues to control the match with Flair taking more kicks. But Flair responds with a boot of her own. Flair will soon get a teammate. Flair hits a beautiful cartwheel clotheslines, then goes to town with chops. She goes for a T-bone plex, but eats a German suplex instead. They did the Ric Flair summersault over the top rope to the outside. Flair is down, but Iyo Sky is coming out.

Iyo Sky joins the match, meaning it’ll be a 2-1 disadvantage for Asuka. Flair is down, but Sky is picking up the slack. Until Asuka cuts her off. She then hits a kick on Flair. But she can’t keep it up as she’s taking out by Sky. Then she eats a knee lift with a trash can lid by Sky. Asuka is in trouble. She’s thrown to the outside of the ring, but lands on the apron. Sky hits a drop toehold on Asuka on the metal board between the rings. Another competitor is out next. It’s Becky Lynch. She comes out looking like the Sandman with a Singapore cane. Lynch whacks Sky with the stick. Hits a White Russian Leg Sweep. Now she’s wearing Sky out with the stick, but Flair takes it from Lynch. Now Lynch is trying to make nice with Flair, but it doesn’t work. They are throwing haymakers.

Flair and Lynch break apart for a minute, they go right back at it. But before Flair can get an edge, Asuka cuts her off. Lynch is now telling Flair to say hi to the people at home while she’s beating her up. That’s fun. Luckily for Flair, Alexa Bliss is out next. She has no weapons, her hands are her weapons. Bliss goes for Asuka and hits a drop kick into a trash can lid. She’s hardcore! Bliss is now smacking Lynch. She then helps Charlotte up and the two go after Lynch. Bliss hits a pair of dragonscrew legwhips and now the besties are unloading on Asuka and Lynch. Now Sky has recovered and all three of the fan favorites are doing good. Kairi Sane is out next. She has a chain. She also looks very happy to be going to War Games. I wouldn’t be as enthusiastic, but that’s just me.

Sane takes out all the good girls with the chain. But she drops it and then goes to chain wrestling. She picks up the chain and now uses that. Lot of chain wrestling! Get it? Sane, Asuka and Lynch are now winning. They laid out the besties and now they’re turning their attention to Sky. Lynch, Sane and Asuka are dancing. They’re good dancers. They’re now chaining Flair, Bliss and Sky together. Then they hit a drop kick. Those three are tied together and down. They get them separated as AJ Lee makes her way to the ring.

Lee too comes out with no weapons. Lynch is trying to keep the door locked. Lynch climbed in over the top and hits a high cross body from the top. Say what you want about Lynch and Lee, they always make it fun. Lynch is now down and Lee is skipping around her. Lynch hits the cage, head first. Does it again on the other side. And now a third side. Then a shining wizard. But Sane catches Lee from behind. Lee and Sane are squaring off, Lee gets the best of it, now it’s Asuka’s turn. Lee has so many people to wrestle! But before they can lock up, Lynch hits her from behind and all the bad girls team up on Lee. Lee and Bliss join the fray and now it’s the good girls winning. Nia Jax is out next.

This is where business picks up. She’s going to cause some damage. She has no weapons, but she runs over Bliss and Flair. Jax is destroying the best friends and the fans are cheering for her. Sky tries to jump Jax and that was a mistake. Jax is taking Sky to school, throwing her into the cage. But Sky climbs the cage and Lee comes over to help. Sky just got caught climbing the cage and she gets powerbombed by Jax. All of the fan favorites are down and their opponents are having their way. But they’re in trouble now.

Rhea Ripley is coming out with a trash can. I wouldn’t be pleased if I were her teammates because she took time to do the stomp. But she’s there now with a trash can full of weapons. She looks like a Natural Born Killa.

Ripley is unpacking her weapons and starts out with a cane. She uses that on everyone. Now she’s beating up Becky. She hits a dropkick on Jax and then helps Sky up. They hit Sane with a drop kick with a trash can on her head. But during their celebration, they each get laid out by Jax. But Bliss hits a DDT on Jax. All nine are down with one woman about to come out.

Lash Legend is out last. She is making her debut on the main roster (first match, according to Michael Cole) at Survivor Series. That’s pretty darn cool. She’s earned it. And as she gets in the ring, it’s time for War Games!

With all 10 in the ring, it’s time for the match beyond! Legend is choking Bliss out, and then tosses her aside. Now she’s ragdolling Flair. But has she met her match? It’s her against Ripley.

They are doing some great wrestling. Legend gets the advantage after a huge boot, but only gets a two before Ripley kicks out. Nice exchange. Jax helps out and goes to work on Ripley, but Bliss comes over and takes on Jax. Legend and Jax hit powerbombs on Flair and Bliss. But Lee breaks up the cover. Lynch hits a manhandle slam on Lee but Sky breaks up the pin with a moonsault.

Jax and Legend just threw Sky into her teammates. Sane is going to the top rope and hits an elbow on Sky, but Ripley breaks it up. The five baddies are all ganging up on Rhea. But Flair saves her from a misting, as Askua hit Legend with the blue spit. Ripley and Flair do a bonding crotch chop, then double suplex Jax. Bliss hits a twisted Bliss.

Sky is atop the cage with a trash can. She puts it on her head and hits a Swanton. Only Lynch is standing. She is trying to run out, but Flair catches her. Ripley hits Riptide and Lee applies the Black Widow. Lynch taps out.

AJ Lee, Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss defeated Asuka, Lash Legend, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax and Becky Lynch when Lee made Lynch tap out to the Black Widow.

Crazy that Xfinity sponsors this, but I had to pay for ESPN Unlimited because my cable is Xfinity and they don’t have a deal. Get it together!

It looks like we’re opening with the woman’s war games match when things kick off in 10 minutes. That’s a good match to start with because you know it will get the show off to a hot start. While the men’s match is loaded with talent, the women might have better athletes capable of doing crazier stuff in their match. The ladies could steal the show tonight.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. It’s time for the dessert! War Games cage is being lowered. It’s the match beyond! They’re showing a promo for the War Games and it’s cool that Cody Rhodes is back because they can focus on his dad a lot. His dad made War Games. He invented it. Arn Anderson was probably the greatest War Games wrestler.

There’s only one good thing about an injury, and that’s the return. Right now some of the biggest stars in the sport are out, and that should lead to some exciting returns. I don’t want anyone to rush back, but I’m really looking forward to the return of Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins. Both were doing some of their best work when they got hurt, and that’s saying a lot because they’d been the MVP’s of WWE for the past decade. Speaking of doing their best work, Liv Morgan could return soon too. She was the hottest thing in the sport when she suffered her injury. Whenever she comes back, she’ll be right back in that spot. Another return I hope happens soon is Adam Cole. He’s not a WWE guy, but I hate seeing his concussion woes and I hope he’s doing better. I don’t care if he ever wrestles again, I want him healthy. And even if he can’t wrestle, there are a million things he could do. Any promotion would benefit from having him. Great guy and I hope it works out great for him soon.

Roman Reigns said he’s never left and he stays locked in. He said that’s why he returned. He said it’s the circle of life in WWE and he’s ready to take on the young guns Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. Roman is the most entertaining guy in WWE. I love CM Punk and I know the fans are behind Cody Rhodes, but Roman is still the man and will be for as long as he wants to be.

They’re talking to Triple H before the show and he’s talking about what tonight means for Dirty Dom. Tonight is huge for him. In his hometown, he’s wrestling John Cena in his final premium live event. Really looking forward to this match. Might be more excited for this one than the war games matches. That says a lot about Cena and Dom.
