Mofokeng Reacts To MOTM Performance

Orlando Pirates winger Relebohile Mofokeng has attributed his man of the match performance down to cohesion within the team as opposed to individual brilliance.
The 20-year-old starlet assisted Evidence Makgopa for the opening goal in the 23rd minute and was again involved in the build-up to the second as the Buccaneers overpowered Durban City 2-0 to move top of the Betway Premiership standings and three points clear of Mamelodi Sundowns.

Speaking to SuperSport TV after the match, ‘Rele’ touched on enjoying football as well as why he opted to lay off the assist to the towering Pirates striker instead of going for glory.
“I’ve been doing it since training, I try to enjoy football, so yeah I think we just keep on going,” he said.
“His [Makgopa] positioning was perfect, so I saw him and then I decided to pass him because he was in a better position than mine.
“I think, when he scores, we also score as a team. I think he had a great touch and yeah for the early lead.”
