Popular singer makes it clear that ‘racists, sexists, and bigots’ not welcome at upcoming tour

Hayley Williams has always made it a personal mantra to speak up for marginalized communities. The Paramore lead singer is underscoring that to fans looking to attend her upcoming 2026 solo tour.

In a new cover story with Clash, Williams talked about her third solo album, “Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party,” and about appreciating that her performances emphasize inclusivity. She made it clear that people who hold hateful and regressive ideologies are not welcome.

“I don’t want racists around, and I don’t want sexist people around, and I don’t want people there who think that trans people are a burden,” Williams stated.

One of the singer’s new songs, “True Believer,” deals explicitly with Nashville’s history, southern pride and the gentrification of the city. As Williams continues her musical journey, she has placed increasing focus on speaking out about inequality and creating spaces where everyone feels welcome.

“I think that’s a hard line for me now,” Williams said. “I hope it naturally happens that people who do harbor those harmful ideologies aren’t going to feel welcome, because they’re going to walk in the door and realize that the gang’s all here, all banded together around something positive. All are welcome if you believe all should be welcome. If you don’t believe that, you’re not welcome!”

The singer’s 20-date North American leg of her solo tour begins on March 28 in Atlanta.
