William Saliba told to ‘stop’ after he posts two pictures humiliating Harry Kane during Arsenal vs Bayern

Arsenal secured a convincing 3-1 win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

The fixture at the Emirates was viewed as the toughest game of the season so far for both teams, and they cancelled each other out in the first half.

However, Arsenal dominated the game after the break. They were the far superior side and deservedly won the clash.

The battle everyone was looking forward to before the game was between William Saliba and Harry Kane. The Gunners star won that convincingly and is now celebrating on social media.

Is William Saliba the best centre-back in the world?

Saliba is one of the best defenders in world football, while Kane is right up there if we’re talking about strikers.

The England skipper has scored many times against the Gunners before, but he has never managed one from open play when the Arsenal number two has been on the pitch.

That was once again the case on Wednesday night, as Saliba and Cristhian Mosquera were more than comfortable against Kane all game.

The former Tottenham man didn’t even have a shot at goal – that’s how quiet he was kept by the two Arsenal central defenders.

After the game, Saliba posted a few pictures on his Instagram.

The first, as shown in the TalkingPoint below, was a picture of Kane on the floor as the Frenchman towered over him.

The second, as you can see above, is an image of the striker falling backwards after a challenge from the Arsenal star.

Saliba will argue that those are just random photographs from his side’s victory, but Mikel Merino’s comment under the post suggests that Kane was being mocked.

The Spaniard wrote: “Stop bullying already!”

William Saliba’s stats vs Bayern Munich are incredible

Saliba is at his best when he has Gabriel Magalhaes next to him, but against Bayern Munich, he had to play without him.

However, the France international was still magnificent.

In his 90 minutes on the pitch, Saliba had 46 touches of the ball and completed 36 of his 38 attempted passes, maintaining a stunning 98 per cent passing accuracy.

The Arsenal number two also made three interceptions, three clearances, six ball recoveries and also blocked a shot. He was dribbled past just once in the entire game, but that led to nothing. (Sofascore)

Saliba was excellent against Bayern, and the fact that he dominated Kane all game shows just how incredible he is.
