Texans QB C.J. Stroud cleared from concussion protocol, set to return Sunday vs. Colts

He returns to a Texans team that hasn’t lost since then, reeling off three consecutive wins with backup Davis Mills filling in to improve to 6-5 — a game behind the Jacksonville Jaguars (7-4) for second place in the division and trailing the first-place Colts (8-3).
Stroud and Houston have two games left against Indy, meaning, if there’s a chance for them to win a third straight AFC South title, that time is now.
The Texans are 3-5 with Stroud starting this year. He’s completed 66.5% of his passes for 1,702 yards, 11 touchdowns and five interceptions.
We’ll see Sunday if he has any rust to shake off as he looks to keep the Texans winning streak alive against the first-place Colts.
