LIVE: Reaction as Verstappen wins to send F1 title fight to Abu Dhabi with Piastri 2nd; Norris 4th

Oscar Piastri starts the Qatar Grand Prix from pole position as he looks to keep his hopes of a maiden F1 drivers’ championship alive.
He is joined on the front row by Lando Norris, who leads the Australian by 22 points at the top of the standings.
Behind the McLaren team-mates sits Max Verstappen, who starts from third and is 25 points behind the British driver.
If Norris has a 26-point advantage by the end of the 57-lap race, he will take the title. Therefore, the Red Bull driver must finish ahead of him to keep his own challenge going.
Adding further jeopardy at the Lusail International Circuit are the tyre concerns that have seen Pirelli mandate a maximum stint length of 25 laps per set.
That will ensure a two-stop strategy at least for all cars, and a race that is likely to be run at a faster-than-usual pace, as was the case in 2023.
