Lando Norris’ girlfriend showed off her stunning bikini body before hitting back at one of her beau’s Formula 1 rivals.

The drivers’ championship leader has been linked with Portuguese actress and model Margarida Corceiro for some time, although the pair have only recently become romantically involved. Corceiro is a well-known figure in her own right with 2.2million followers on Instagram, where she is a regular poster. Her feed combines sleek fashion images and sultry bikini photos.

One set of photos in particular, posted at the end of May, saw her sitting on a beach on Italy’s Amalfi Coast gazing seductively out to sea and drinking from a bottle of water. The snaps attracted thousands of likes, with followers branding her “gorgeous” and calling Norris a lucky boy for dating such a stunner.

Corceiro has been at numerous race weekends to support her partner, who could wrap up his maiden F1 title at this weekend’s Qatar Grand Prix, despite being disqualified from last weekend’s Las Vegas Grand Prix after his McLaren team were found guilty of a technical infringement on both cars.

TV producers often cut to drivers’ WAGs in the garage during races, with Corceiro among those to pop up on screen. The habit hasn’t gone down well with some, including Norris’ former McLaren team-mate Carlos Sainz.

The Spaniard, now of Williams, wasn’t happy about the number of times the world feed, which broadcasters like Sky Sports use for on-track action, cut to his girlfriend Rebecca Donaldson and other partners

However, Corceiro doesn’t share his view and has no qualms about being on camera while the cars are circulating. She told Jornal de Noticias: “I don’t feel any pressure from being a public figure. I’m there to support someone. I have nothing to do with that.

“I don’t know anything about cars. I’m good for nothing other than supporting someone.

“I don’t call the cameras. I have nothing to do with that, it’s not my job or my area. If they record me, they record me. If they don’t record me, it doesn’t matter.

“Obviously, there are many cameras everywhere, but sometimes I don’t realise if I’m being recorded or not.’

Sainz hit out at the coverage following the Singapore Grand Prix. He told Spanish radio station El Partidazo de COPE: “It’s becoming a bit of a trend, which must have worked for them at one time, when people found it interesting to see our girlfriends, to see famous people on television, the reactions.

“I understand that if there is an overtake, a very tense moment in the race, it is understandable that the production team might want to show a reaction shot, if they have seen that this has worked in the past, but only if the competition is respected and you are always showing the important moments of the race.

“Last weekend, they didn’t show any of the four or five overtakes I did at the end, nor did they show Fernando’s [Alonso] pursuit of Lewis [Hamilton]. They missed a lot of things.

“The other [showing the off-track things] is fine, but don’t lose sight of the main thing. For me, they go overboard a little by showing the celebrities and girlfriends.”
