Jaxson Dart is left to rue his hard Brian Daboll what-ifs in Giants return

All the Giants fans convinced that Jaxson Dart is their franchise quarterback received a post-Thanksgiving reminder Friday to be grateful for Brian Daboll.
Cleared from the concussion protocol after missing two games and making his first comments since Daboll was fired Nov. 10, Dart predictably sounded like the player most genuinely affected by the decision to let go of his biggest advocate because of a 3-19 record over a 22-game span.
“Who knows if I’m here without him,” Dart said after his second full practice. “I’ve got all the respect and love for Coach Dabes. We’re really close, so to see it go down that way, especially my rookie year, was hard. Trying to control what I can control, take the next steps, but wish we could’ve done more as players to get more wins for him.”
Dart will start Monday night against the Patriots after recovering from the first concussion of his football career.
