Holly — known for her clean-cut image — is said to have committed the offence in her £25,000 Mini Cooper near her £3million London home on August 28.

The 44-year-old could be given up to nine penalty points and a fine, according to sentencing guidelines.

In severe cases a driver can be banned.

The charge under section 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 can cover a range of activities including applying make-up, arguing with passengers, being distracted behind the wheel, or tailgating another vehicle.

Holly’s married name appears on a list of cases to be heard on Tuesday at Lavender Hill magistrates’ court.

She could opt to appear in person but is more likely to enter a plea without attending.

Mum-of-three Holly was pictured climbing into the Mini Cooper days after quitting ITV show Dancing on Ice in March.

She has had car problems in the past.

In 2019, she parked her £100,000 Mercedes G-Class in a disabled bay after getting a flat tyre.

And in 2016, she reported it stolen before the car was later found parked outside the office of her TV producer husband Dan Baldwin in Kensington.

Holly’s court summons comes after a troubled few years.

She stepped down from This Morning in 2023 after a stalker was prosecuted for threatening to kidnap and rape her.

Gavin Plumb is now serving 16 years in jail.

A court heard how the sick plot had “traumatised” Holly and had a “life-changing impact” on her.

Holly admitted in an Instagram post: “It’s been tough.”

Her ordeal came after a public falling-out with co-host Phillip Schofield after his relationship with a younger male co-worker was revealed — which ended with him leaving This Morning.

Together, she and Phil fronted the show for 14 years, as well as Dancing on Ice from 2006 to 2011 and then from 2018 until Phil’s departure from ITV.

Holly returned to screens on Netflix’s Celebrity Bear Hunt earlier this year, alongside her pal Bear Grylls.

The show has since been axed.

But Holly is reportedly planning a “spectacular” TV comeback and has been tipped to replace Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman on BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing.
