PITTSBURGH — Quarterbacks Mason Rudolph and Will Howard took part in individual drills for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the early portion of the team’s practice at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on Wednesday, while Aaron Rodgers was not spotted with the group in the portion of practice open to the media.
Rodgers is recovering from a fractured left wrist that caused him to miss the team’s Week 12 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
On Tuesday, head coach Mike Tomlin expressed optimism with regards to Rodgers’ status this week.
“We’re comfortable with his general trajectory,” Tomlin said. “But I’ll keep you updated. His level of participation and the quality of his participation over the course of the week will be the greatest indicator.”
Rudolph has replaced Rodgers since he was injured late in the first half of the Week 11 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, and would do so again this week if Rodgers is unable to play.
