I need to see these 4 comic book superheroes added to Marvel Cosmic Invasion

Comic book fans will have something fun to look forward to when Marvel Cosmic Invasion finally drops onto consoles and PC in December. The game is a side-scrolling brawler with multiple Marvel Comics heroes teaming up against a common threat. But unlike other Marvel games that have taken a more modern approach in recent years, the developer Tribute Games is bringing things back to the 90s era of these superheroes. Those that remember watching many of the Marvel animated shows of the decade will recognize a lot of what this Marvel team-up is looking to accomplish.
The entire playable roster of 15 heroes for Marvel Cosmic Invasion was revealed online by the developers in various previews. The cast of playable heroes includes a number of fan-favorites and iconic faces that any Marvel fan will appreciate seeing. But there are a few glaring omissions that I would like to see included within Marvel Cosmic Invasion at some point. When the game finally arrives, I need to see these 4 comic book superheroes added to Marvel Cosmic Invasion to make this game an ultimate Marvel team-up.

Adam Warlock
The superior being
Whenever there’s a big event in the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe, you can count on someone like Adam Warlock showing up. Famous for being one of the main players in iconic Marvel storylines like “The Infinity Gauntlet”, which was the basis for the first main arc of Marvel films, Adam Warlock is a very powerful being. He is not only strong enough to throw hands with some of the baddest villains in Marvel Comics, but possesses great wisdom about the ways of the universe, which has allowed him to clash with powerful beings like Thanos.
The plot of Marvel Cosmic Invasion takes on a galactic element with the threat of Annihilus coming to Earth. Tribute Games revealed that many of the battles will take place in locations that span different parts of the cosmic areas of Marvel, including other planets and iconic locations like the Negative Zone. With so much action happening on a galactic scale, it would only make sense to bring in a hero like Adam Warlock that has tons of experience dealing with galactic-level threats.
The Hulk
The strongest hero ever
One of the playable heroes in Marvel Cosmic Invasion is Jennifer Walters, better known as She-Hulk. But while she brings the green smashing to the game, her world-famous cousin is missing from the roster of heroes. The original jolly green giant is arguably one of the biggest and most famous Marvel superheroes of all-time. As a founding member of The Avengers and the self-proclaimed strongest ever, The Hulk is no pushover. The success of comic book stories about Bruce Banner, also known as The Hulk, was what led to multiple tie-ins and spin-offs within the Marvel Universe, including the creation of She-Hulk.
It feels taboo to not include The Hulk in a major Marvel event that is as big as what is happening within Marvel Cosmic Invasion. In most major events within the comics, the topic of The Hulk always comes up in one way or another, which usually results in him teaming up with everyone to help out. Many of the greatest Marvel stories have The Hulk becoming a threat, but some of the most action-packed stories have Bruce Banner fighting alongside the other Marvel heroes when things get rough.
Although She-Hulk fills the role of being a tank-like character that can bring power, there’s no rule that says we can’t have two green smashing machines. And if there’s ever a powerhouse hero that you want on your side, it would most definitely be the original big green himself, The Hulk.

As Marvel Cosmic Invasion lands on consoles and PC soon, you’ll want to revisit some of these legendary Marvel Comics games before it does!
Cyclops
A slim leader to follow into battle
The X-Men already have some great representation in Marvel Cosmic Invasion with the inclusion of Storm and Wolverine. Both of those heroes are mega popular and offer a lot of nostalgia for those who grew up watching the X-Men animated series in the 90s. But another hero that was emblematic of that era was the 90s version of Cyclops. He was a member of the X-Men that was always trying to do the right thing, following orders from Professor Charles Xavier, and constantly clashing with Wolverine over everything. And while later iterations of the hero would hardly do him justice, the X-Men animated series version of the character is the one that people know well.
Whether alone or with other members of the team, Scott Summers is a force to be reckoned with due to his mutant ability of firing concussive optic blasts from his eyes. Many Marvel games that included X-Men characters had Cyclops as part of the playable roster, which complimented other X-Men members that would appear often. Wolverine may be the most popular X-Men in nearly any form of media, but Cyclops is not that far behind in terms of how much Marvel fans love the character. And with Phoenix already being part of Marvel Cosmic Invasion, who wouldn’t want to see a reunion between two X-Men love birds once again?
The Falcon
The reliable and trustworthy teammate
Captain America is often viewed as one of the greatest heroes in the Marvel Universe, and arguably the most patriotic in comic book history. His leadership and ability to rally people together is unlike anyone else. But so often forgotten are the heroes that Captain America often teams up with to fight evil in all of its forms. Long-time Marvel fans will remember Cap’s adventures with his sidekick Bucky, who eventually became The Winter Soldier, but another important teammate of Captain America was Sam Wilson, better known as The Falcon. He is credited as the first African-American superhero to appear in mainstream comics, but not the first to star in his own comic series.
In recent years, the popularity of The Falcon has skyrocketed due to his appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But the early version of Sam Wilson’s Falcon is a highly beloved take on the character, who sported a falcon-like suit that was distinct from other characters in the Marvel Universe. As a frequent ally and teammate of Captain America, the two of them have fought tons of villains and worked together during some of the biggest crossover events in Marvel Comics.
Although the roster for Marvel Cosmic Invasion is filled with many Avengers characters, it would be interesting to see another hero that is more associated with Captain America’s stories than anything from the cosmic side of Marvel. Some people would often think of characters associated with SHIELD for Captain America nowadays, but having The Falcon would make things a bit more classic.

Mighty marching cosmic Marvel heroes
There’s going to be a lot of superhero action happening when players get to dive into Marvel Cosmic Invasion. The cast of characters we will get to play with, either alone or cooperatively with friends, is very diverse and filled with a lot of love for the comics. And yet, I still would like to see the few key Marvel heroes that everyone knows to be a big part of the Marvel Universe make an appearance. Marvel Cosmic Invasion is set to release on consoles and PC on December 1, 2025.
