Amy Schumer Flaunts Slimmed-Down Figure After Praising GLP-1 Experience

Amy Schumer is turning a simple staircase into her own personal runway while showing off her body transformation.

In a series of images shared via Instagram on Saturday, November 29, Schumer, 44, posed for the camera as she sat on a set of stairs and rocked a yellow minidress with bows and ruffles at the hem. She completed the look with a pair of black sling-back heels.

In another photo, Schumer was photo-bombed by her and husband Chris Fischer’s son, Gene David. (The couple welcomed their son in 2019, one year after tying the knot.)

“Trying to go to the party but someone won’t go to bed @gitabass takin pics and painting me with @tousledbyjae dress by @maisonvalentino thanks @luxury_checkins skin as always by @georgialouisesk,” Schumer captioned the post.

Schumer has been candid about her experience trying various weight-loss drugs, opening up in March about Mounjaro — a GLP-1 drug similar to Ozempic. Mounjaro, which is designed to help diabetes patients with weight management, can include side effects like nausea and diarrhea, according to WebMD.

“Three years ago, I tried Wegovy,” she said in an Instagram video. “I was puking, I couldn’t handle it. I don’t know if they’ve changed the formula, whatever. But anyway, I went on this Telehealth meeting with Midi Health, and it was cheap. I wanted to try it myself ‘cause I wanted to recommend it to my friends who are nurses and teachers.”

Virtual care clinic Midi Health specializes in menopause and perimenopause treatment, according to the official website.

“They put me on estrogen and progesterone because I realized I was in perimenopause and my symptoms from being perimenopause have disappeared,” she continued. “My hair is fuller, my skin is better, I have more energy, I want to get down more, if you know what I mean. I’m talking about sex. So that’s been great and Mounjaro’s been great.”

Schumer explained that the drug is “not covered by insurance unless you have diabetes or like severe obesity, which most of the internet thinks I have.”

Schumer noted that “your Instagram is not your identity” but instead “a curation of what you want the world to see,” adding that it’s “fun” to share herself feeling “strong and beautiful” with her fans.

“I didn’t purposely go on a ‘weight loss journey’ that’s a fine thing to go on. But my focus has been on health,” she explained. “I’m sure my weight will always fluctuate.
