A person has died after a house fire in Doncaster.
Emergency services say they were called to Thorne just before midnight on Saturday.
An investigation into what happened is now getting underway.
A statement from the fire service:
“A person has died following a fire in Doncaster.
“Firefighters say they attended the fire at a property on Fieldside, Thorne just before midnight on Saturday.
“Five fire engines and a turntable ladder fought the blaze, leaving the scene at around 4am.
“Four people were treated for the effects of smoke inhalation and one person sadly lost their life.
“An investigation into the cause of the fire will begin on Sunday.
“Our thoughts are with the loved ones of the person who died.”
