On behalf of Waterford City and County Council, I would like to offer condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Hugh Wallace on his sudden passing.
Hugh was a familiar figure to many, as a television presenter and a judge of RTE’s Home of the Year. However, it was as director and co-founder of architecture firm, Douglas Wallace Consultants, that Hugh became an even more familiar figure to us here in Waterford.
Hugh’s firm, on behalf of Harcourt Developments, planned and designed the North Quays Strategic Development Zone. His vision, dynamism and creativity shone through in the plans for the North Quays to reimagine the city.
