In a shocking twist, television presenter Ruby Wax has turned into a ‘jungle thief’, according to former campmate Eddie Kadi. The comedian has revealed that the 72-year-old has been secretly pinching other campmates’ belongings while in the jungle.
Eddie was the second celebrity to leave the I’m a Celebrity jungle in Sunday night’s episode (November 30). After making it back to the luxury of the five-star hotel, the 42-year-old has begun to spill all the juicy secrets of jungle life, from Ruby’s antics to the potential Shona and Aitch romance.
During his time in the jungle, Eddie noticed that some of Vogue’s items had gone missing, with Ruby being eyed as the culprit. However, it seems that the star “doesn’t care” as she continues to take items such as boots, socks and water bottles.
Eddie said: “Vogue has lost all her socks and Ruby has taken them. She showed me, she’s like, ‘I got her socks. So what? I like it’. She took Vogue’s boots, I believe, at one stage. You could tell because of the way she was walking. I was like, ‘Ruby, clearly one of your boots is too long. She’s like, ‘Just keep walking. Your job is to just keep walking’.
“So I think it might be her because she’s got so much in her bags. She’s going to leave with everything. She’s leaving with the jungle.” He also added: “She doesn’t care….Ruby can do whatever she wants.”

The star also clocked that Ruby had taken to drinking out of Vogue’s water bottle. He admitted: “We were by the tree house having a conversation. She started drinking from a water bottle – it said ‘Vogue’. I said, ‘Ruby, that’s Vogue’s bottle’. She said, ‘Oh, dear. Oh, well, come on. She’ll be fine. She won’t die’.”
However, no one in the camp seems to be too offended by Ruby’s antics, as Eddie admits that they all want to look after her while in the jungle.
Eddie said: “But Ruby in there is like the Queen Mother. Ruby can do whatever she wants because we all want to look after her. But we’re all falling for the trick that she is a youth at the same time. She doesn’t want to be considered an elderly. She’s like, ‘I’m with you guys’.”
The camp has also been hit with repeated contraband offences this year. Last week, Alex Scott was found to be adding salt to dishes, while Shona McGarty somehow managed to smuggle in a full can of air freshener.

Shona was also dethroned in Sunday’s episode after finding some butter in the trunk and adding it to her rice and beans. With producers quick to catch on to contraband, Eddie also suspects that Ruby may have smuggled some items into camp.
However, he did admit: “I wasn’t brave enough to say in front of her face, clearly. I’m trying to survive.” He even wondered if she had been hiding it on her person.
Eddie added: “If you watch how Ruby’s dressed in the camp, I looked at her one time… she’s got one of her trousers long, the other, she tucks it in her sock. So she looks like an Asbo grandma. Ruby looks like the grandma you go shoplifting with.”
As the second celebrity to leave the jungle, Eddie was quick to dismiss any romance rumours between Aitch and Shona. Rumours have been circulating since week one, after the rapper confessed he had a ‘soft spot’ for the actress.
Eddie said: “Aitch and Shona? You do realise Aitch has a soft spot for me? More than Shona. Did you see him massaging me? Aitch will randomly just find me in the corner and he starts massaging me. We’ve all got a soft spot for each other.”
Speaking to Ant and Dec after being booted out of the jungle, Eddie confessed he has mixed emotions about leaving the show behind.
He confessed: “I’m happy and sad at the same time, I’m had I’m sappy, honestly what a great time. I’ve had such an incredible time. I have made amazing friends, faced some fears and to be fair, it feels very surreal to be on such an iconic show, but most of the time you forgot you were on a show.”
