Ulster County prepares for first snow storm of the season on Tuesday

Ulster County is staring down its first significant winter storm of the season on Tuesday, Dec. 2. According to weather experts, most of our area should expect between four to eight inches of snowfall, beginning in the early morning hours and continuing through the evening.

Higher elevations could be in for more snow, with the National Weather Service upgrading areas of western Ulster County, including the Woodstock-Shokan corridor, to forecasts of seven to 11 inches.

Temperatures at daybreak Tuesday are expected to be in the mid-twenties, with highs reaching into the low thirties before dipping down to low 20s at night.
