Led by Drake Maye and a core of exciting young prospects, the New England Patriots have been one of the NFL season’s best stories. It’s another example of a franchise being able to get itself off the mat quickly via the draft, and rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson, a 2025 second-rounder, has been a big part of that surprising success.
Henderson’s presence as a versatile, explosive piece out of the backfield who can contribute on any down has helped provide more balance for the Patriots’ emerging offense. His 558 rushing yards trail only Quinshon Judkins (667), Henderson’s former college teammate, and Ashton Jeany (604) for the NFL rookie lead.
