Remember that Fountains of Wayne ditty all about a school boy’s admiration of the woman that gave birth to his friend? Well, the NFL appears to have a similar situation ‘going on’ right now, with slightly older fans of the Giants taking the place of Stacy’s dreamer.
Playing the part of Stacy in my generational-shifting comparison is New York Giants rookie Jaxson Dart, and while he might still be learning the ropes of NFL life, his mom, Kara Dart, has already mastered the spotlight.

When CBS cameras panned to the stands during the Giants’ 26–14 loss to the Saints, certain fans couldn’t stop talking about the quarterback’s family – particularly his mother.
Wearing a stylish but chilled outfit and sporting a beaming grin, Kara was shown celebrating each of her son’s early touchdowns with husband Brandon and nearby Giants fans. Social media immediately took notice, with one viewer somewhat exaggerating the point, “They’ve shown Jaxson Dart’s mom 500 times this game,” while another added, “Look at Jaxson Dart’s mom – she’s got some guns and couldn’t look prouder.”

What does Kara Dart do when not supporting Jaxson?
Off the field, Kara is a fitness instructor and former Nordstrom employee who once ran track and played volleyball. Her Instagram, @runningwithkara, hints at her love of running and healthy living. Jaxson told GQ his mother helped shape his fashion sense – “She gives me options but lets me find what feels right.”
Athleticism clearly runs in the family. Brandon played safety at the University of Utah before founding Dartco Masonry. Jaxson’s younger brother, Diesel, is already a three-star football recruit with SEC offers, while his two sisters are said to prefer to stay out of the public eye.
