Houston Rockets center Steven Adams (ankle) will miss Wednesday’s matchup against Golden State. His absence does not guarantee a major role for Clint Capela, who has been a fringe option and could still get squeezed if Houston leans into small-ball looks. Capela has averaged 2.0 points and 3.2 rebounds across his last five appearances, but Houston’s thin frontcourt with Kevin Durant (personal reasons), Tari Eason (oblique), and Dorian Finney-Smith (ankle) all out could lead to a slight bump in minutes. He remains a deeper-league rebounding flyer rather than a standard-league option.
