NBA Best Bets: Suns at Lakers Prop Bets for Monday 12/1/25

Zach Thompson details his best player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for tonight’s game between the Suns and the Lakers.

Peacock features a nice NBA doubleheader on Monday night, which starts with a good matchup between the Bulls and Magic and finishes out West where the Lakers host the Suns in a matchup that tips off at 10:00 p.m. ET. The Lakers still haven’t submitted an injury report for what will be the second game of their back-to-back, but let’s take a look at the current markets and find some strong options from the many player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Overall in the game, the Lakers are 4.5-point home favorites, with the game total set at O/U 234.5 points.

The Lakers are 15-4 overall and 7-2 at home after they took care of the Clippers, Mavs and Pelicans in the first three games of their current homestand. They have won seven straight since losing in OKC, and they have opened up a four-game lead over the Suns, who are currently alone in second in the Pacific division. Phoenix has exceeded expectations with its 12-9 record but has dropped three of its last four coming into this matchup with the Lakers.

Let’s take a look at the player prop bets available for Monday night’s rematch and find a few player prop bets to smash.

Suns at Lakers Best Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Luka Doncic 33+ points (-115)

Taking any player to score 30+ points in any matchup is usually a matchup I try to avoid since so much has to go right for the player to score that many points. Luka is an exception, though, who has been so hot lately that I’m even willing to back him up to 33+ points in this matchup against the Suns.

In his 15 games this season, Doncic is pouring in 35.1 points per game, and he has been even better in his eight home games, where he is shooting a scorching 49.2% from the field and averaging 38.1 points per game.

He had 20 points in the first quarter alone on Sunday against the Pelicans and cruised to 34 points in 34 minutes.

He has at least 33 points in six straight games, and the Suns have been a good matchup for opposing point guards this season.

He has gone up against Devin Booker 17 times in their careers, and Luka is averaging 32.1 points in those meetings, and he has scored at least 33 points in eight of their last nine meetings, with the only exception being a 30-point performance in his last few months with the Mavericks. When he faced Booker after his trade to the Lakers, he had 33 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists last March.

Doncic gets up for this matchup against Booker, and I think he’ll get to at least 33 points to continue his impressive start to the season this Monday.

Mark Williams 25+ Points + Rebounds (+147)

Williams was memorably traded to the Lakers at last year’s Trade Deadline before being un-traded and sent back to the Hornets due to medical concerns. He was traded again after the season to Phoenix and has played 17 games this season for his new squad.

When he’s healthy, the seven-footer has definitely shown an impressive upside throughout his career, but staying on the court has proven challenging. He spent a few games on a strict minutes limit after no preseason work, but he has averaged over 26 minutes per game over his last 15 games, making 14 starts. In those 15 games, he averaged 14.1 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. He’s picked things up even more recently, going over 25 points and rebounds in each of his last four games with 27, 25, 37 and 27 points and rebounds in those four games. He sat out the second game of a couple of back-to-backs during that span, but he has been able to play all the games preceded by a day off since opening night.

Williams will have a chance to show the Lakers what they missed out on in this contest, and he could have an easier matchup if Deandre Ayton is out or limited after leaving with a knee injury on Sunday night. The injury isn’t expected to be serious, but his status is uncertain for Monday, which could tilt the matchup in Williams’ favor.

Collin Gillespie over 20.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-104)

Third-year guard Collin Gillespie has been having a breakout season for the Suns and has been a key contributor in the second unit. He is averaging 21.4 PRA (points, rebounds and assists) in his 21 games with 12.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game.

He only had 12 points and two assists to fall well short of his line on Saturday on the second night of a back-to-back, but he had gone over this prop line in seven straight before that.

Part of his lower usage could have been due to Grayson Allen’s return to the lineup, but it also seemed like just an off game for Gillespie.

He should be able to bounce back against the Lakers and get over this prop line, even if things get a little lopsided, he usually takes care of garbage time as well for the Suns.

Bonus Parlay pick: Devin Booker under 2.5 3PM (-184)

If you’re playing a parlay and looking for a fourth leg, this is a nice way to sweeten the pot. Booker has made three or more threes in just two of his last 13 games and none of his last seven.

He hasn’t hit over 2.5 3PM in any of his last four games going head-to-head with Luka, or in nine of his last 10 against Doncic.

He’s running the Suns offense and playing very well this year, but he is only averaging 1.8 3PM per contest, making this seem like a very high line for him on Monday.
