See where Matthew Stafford, other Rams rank in Pro Bowl voting so far

Stafford ranks 7th among all players and 2nd at his position so far

The first round of Pro Bowl voting is in the books after polls opened on Thanksgiving and there are several Los Angeles Rams players at or near the top of their positions in total votes by fans. Matthew Stafford is in the top 10 overall among all players, coming in seventh with 24,335 total votes so far.

He has the second-most votes among quarterbacks, with Patriots signal caller Drake May leading the NFL after the first week of voting (31,452 votes). Although no other Rams players are in the top 10 right now, Kamren Curl leads all strong safeties, Puka Nacua, Nate Landman and Byron Young are top-3 at their positions and five other Rams are also among the 10 highest vote-getters at their spots.

Here’s a look at where every Rams player in the top 10 ranks thus far.

  • Matthew Stafford: 2nd among QBs
  • Puka Nacua: 3rd among WRs
  • Nate Landman: 3rd among LBs
  • Byron Young: 3rd among OLBs
  • Jared Verse: 6th among OLBs
  • Cobie Durant: 5th among CBs
  • Emmanuel Forbes Jr.: 6th among CBs
  • Kamren Curl: 1st among strong safeties
  • Ethan Evans: 9th among punters
  • Shaun Dolac: 9th among special teams players

Fan voting will continue through Dec. 15, so polls will remain open for two more weeks. Fan votes only account for one-third of the total voting process, with players counting for one-third and coaches the other third.

The most notable omissions for Rams players after a few days of voting are Davante Adams, Kevin Dotson and Quentin Lake. There’s no question Lake’s injury will hurt his chances of making the Pro Bowl, as will his ambiguous title of being a defensive back instead of a corner or safety, but he’s deserving of recognition.

When it’s all said and done, the Rams could easily have five or six Pro Bowlers this year, especially if they keep winning.
