The playoffs of “The Voice” season 28 will premiere on Monday, December 1, despite the FuboTV and NBC Universal dispute
On Friday, Nov. 21, NBCUniversal channels went dark on Fubo as the two were unable to come to an agreement to renew their carriage deal. There are no details currently of when NBCU Networks will be back on FuboTV, but viewers can use DirecTV, Sling or Peacock to stream the channels. DirecTV offers a free trial for new users and Sling and Peacock have affordable options.
The new episode will air at 9 p.m. ET on NBC. Those without cable or dealing with the NBC blackout on FuboTV can watch the show for free through DIRECTV, which offers a free trial to new users. Sling and Peacock are other options for streaming the show, and promotional offers are available.

Michael Bublé, Niall Horan, Reba McEntire and Snoop Dogg all vie to discover the next singing phenomenon on season 28 of “The Voice.” The season kicks off with the iconic blind auditions where the judges’ chairs are turned facing their backs to the contestants and if they like the way they sound the judges will turn their chairs around, hoping the contestant picks them as a coach.
Last spring, NBC announced that first-time coach Kelsea Ballerini and veterans John Legend and Adam Levine would all be leaving The Voice after Season 27.
The new season features a new twist where host Carson Daly has the power to pick one artist who doesn’t receive a chair turn to come back and try again later.
What is “The Voice” about?
America’s best undiscovered talent goes head-to-head on teams led by the four musical icons who will playfully compete against each other while mentoring these inspiring singers in search of the next superstar Voice, according to FuboTV’s description of the series.
In Monday’s new episode, “Superstar advisors help the remaining artists prepare for the playoffs. Each coach can only advance certain artists to the live shows.”
