Deputies arrest Rome man after Verona gun incident

According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol deputies have arrested a Rome man following a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a firearm.
On Saturday, Nov. 29 at 2:29 p.m. Oneida County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a seasonal road, in the town of Verona regarding a motor vehicle accident involving a firearm.
Upon investigation deputies learned that a verbal altercation occurred along with a property damage motor vehicle accident. Deputies also discovered that a suspect had fired a gun and struck the vehicle, which was occupied by two individuals. None of the parties involved during this incident were injured.
The Criminal Investigations Unit assumed the investigation and as a result authorities arrested Floyd F. Bush Jr., 48, Rome and charged him with first-degree reckless endangerment, a class D felony.
Authorities transported Bush to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Building for processing. Authorities processed Bush and turned him over to the Oneida County Correctional Facility where he is currently awaiting centralized arraignment.
