OU football loses commitment from four-star WR Brayden Allen

NORMAN — OU lost a commitment from four-star wide receiver Brayden Allen on Sunday.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound receiver from Lafayette, Louisiana, committed to the Sooners in October just days after decommitting from Tulane. Allen initially chose OU over Colorado after visiting both schools in consecutive weekends.

Allen holds 22 offers, including from LSU, which hired former Mississippi coach Lane Kiffin on Sunday. Allen was a top target of Kiffin’s at Mississippi and attended the Sooners’ win over the Tigers on Saturday.

Allen visited Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a couple of weeks ago and announced he was locked in with the Sooners afterward.

He appears to have had a change of heart with National Signing Day nearing on Wednesday. The recruiting site Rivals reported on Sunday that he had officially decommitted and predicted he would follow Kiffin to LSU.
