New Orleans personal injury attorney accused of domestic abuse on northshore

A New Orleans personal injury lawyer remains in custody on the northshore, accused of domestic abuse, authorities said.

Mike Brandner, 49, was booked into the St. Tammany Parish jail on Sunday on counts of domestic abuse battery, domestic abuse battery with severe bodily injury and false imprisonment, a St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said.

Mandeville police spokesperson Eddie Vanison said on Monday that the allegations stem from an incident on Thanksgiving but said no other information was immediately available.

Brandner turned himself in, the Sheriff’s Office said, after facing arrest by the Mandeville Police Department.

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s spokesperson, Lt. Suzanne Carboni, said a judge has not yet set bail.
