Apple Music Replay could drop this week. Here’s what we know

Unveiling Spotify Wrapped, music of your year

Want to find out your favorite music of the year? Spotify Wrapped has you covered.

The season for sharing screenshots of your music habits is nearly upon us.

Apple Music Replay, the sister-streaming launch to Spotify Wrapped, could drop this week, based on release dates from years past.

All eyes (and ears) were on the diss track war between Kendrick Lamar and Drake − in addition to Sabrina Carpenter’s not-so sweet musings − as all of the artists took top slots on Apple Music’s Replay charts last year.

Taylor Swift, country music’s rising star Shaboozey and up-and-comers Benson Boone and Teddy Swims all also earned flowers in 2024.

While the release date for users’ 2025 report has yet to be revealed, Apple Music subscribers can geek out about which artists, albums and genres they listened to most this year soon enough.

Here’s what we know about the timing.

When will Apple Music Replay come out?

Apple (and Apple Music) by proxy have kept quiet about details, including the release date, for this year’s Music Replay. The tech juggernaut did not immediately respond to USA TODAY’s request for comment.

Replay typically drops in late November or early December. Here’s a look at previous release dates:

  • 2024: Dec. 3
  • 2023: Nov. 28
  • 2022: Nov. 29

What is Apple Music Replay?

Apple Music Replay, like Spotify Wrapped, is essentially an annual snapshot of your listening habits over the course of a year. Those tracks are then compiled into a custom playlist.

Apple Music begins to collect date i.e., total minutes listened, in February and by December generates a report that is reflective of your musical journey that year.

Replay began as a weekly update in 2019 and years later, in 2022, adopted a format more similar to Spotify Wrap’s yearly lookback. The report offers a breakdown of top songs, artists, albums and more.

How to access your Apple Music Replay report

Last year, iPhone users with iOS 18.1 or later could access Apple’s Replay experience directly from the Music app via the “Home,” or “Listen Now” tabs.

Those who don’t own an iPhone, or have the Music app readily available, can access their report through replay.music.apple.com. All you need is an email connected to an Apple Account aka Apple ID.

A slideshow will appear: Click play and view your report.
