Broncos host veteran WR on free agent visit

The Denver Broncos appear to be looking for reinforcements at wide receiver.
The Broncos brought in veteran receiver Elijah Moore for a free agent visit on Monday, according to the NFL’s transaction wire. The team’s active roster and practice squad are both full, so if Denver signs Moore, the team would have to make a corresponding move to make room for him.
Moore (5-10, 180 pounds) originally entered the league as a second-round pick out of Ole Miss with the New York Jets in 2021. He hauled in 80 receptions for 984 yards and six touchdowns through two seasons before being traded to the Cleveland Browns in 2023. Moore then spent two years in Cleveland, totaling 120 receptions for 1,178 yards and three scores.
Moore, 25, signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills this spring. He hauled in nine receptions for 112 yards through nine games before being waived last week to make room for Brandin Cooks in Buffalo. Denver currently has five receivers on its active roster in Courtland Sutton, Pat Bryant, Marvin Mims, Troy Franklin and Lil’Jordan Humphrey.
